Sometimes assuming the worst can help you understand and see what\u2019s best.&#8221; See &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/philbaumann.amplify.com\/2010\/07\/08\/what-if-social-media-was-called-quick-sand\/\">What If Social Media Was Called Quick Sand<\/a>&#8221; to get the point Phil was trying to make, which is be aware of what&#8217;s below the surface.<\/p>\n<p>Regardless of the point that Phil was trying to make, his statement immediately conjured up an image in my mind, which having nothing better to do, I created in Photoshop and posted here on the left.<\/p>\n<p>In reply to Phil&#8217;s comment, I tweeted&nbsp; &#8220;You can&#8217;t swim in quicksand, but you CAN dip your toe in. Exactly what pharma is doing in SM now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_ZiPiXEv_Q_g\/TDXoGPzYnfI\/AAAAAAAADEg\/4uhBvkJ-bbk\/s1600\/swimmies.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/ec2-54-175-84-28.compute-1.amazonaws.com\/pharma-mkting.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/swimmies.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>What&#8217;s MY point? You can dip your toe in social media and that&#8217;s fine. You won&#8217;t go under.
