Philip Patrick is a deeply experienced Pharmaceutical Strategy Consultant, and a national expert at Pharmaceutical Market Research.  Philip Patrick has served on faculty for six years at Rutgers MBA program, where he teaches the MBA course “Pharmaceutical Market Research”.

As CEO/Founder of Four Leaf Strategies LLC, Mr. Patrick helps organizations make better decisions on issues related to health care.  Most recently, Mr. Patrick founded, grew, and sold the Pharmaceutical Market Research consulting firm PharmaStrat Inc, a four-time Inc 5000 winner as one of the fastest growing privately held firms in America. 

As CEO of PharmaStrat, Mr. Patrick led an industry-leading market research and consulting firm of 20 consultants specializing in biopharmaceuticals and emerging medical technologies.  As a division of Decision Resources Group, the PharmaStrat team continues to assist most of the major pharmaceutical companies with product development and commercialization strategies.  Mr. Patrick was named by PharmaVoice magazine as one of the top 100 most inspiring leaders in the pharmaceutical industry.

Mr. Patrick’s professional career also includes experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing for Wyeth, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, and Procter & Gamble. Mr. Patrick also served as Marketing Director of Managed Care Services for four years at IMS HEALTH, the leading pharmaceutical consultancy in America.

Mr. Patrick’s educational background includes a successful Freshman year at the US Military Academy at West Point and a BA in Economics from Rutgers University where as he served as Student Body President.  He earned his MBA from Columbia University Business School in May 1992.  Mr. Patrick has also completed post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School with a particular focus on best practices for the growth and management of Professional Service Firms.

Mr. Patrick is active in Intellus, the Pharmaceutical Industry Market Research Association, and serves on multiple committees including curriculum development.  His keynote address at the 2018 Fall Summit was one of the highest rated in years.

Mr. Patrick also serves as Vice Chair for Medical Quality and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee for the Board of Trustees for Hunterdon Healthcare System.  He has served on the Board for 7 years and is a key decision maker on many issues related to this Integrated Healthcare System.  He reviews executive dashboards, quality metrics, patient satisfaction, IT strategy, and most economic/finance issues.

Mr. Patrick lives in Flemington NJ and has three daughters 25, 22, and 18.
