Background

While face-time with physicians is decreasing, pharmaceutical companies need to start utilizing other avenues including e-detailing and social media engagement to maintain their marketing advantage. A recently-launched platform, called eHyppo, may offer a solution.

eHyppo is an independent online health care community created by physicians and other health care professionals who recognized a need for bringing together professionals from the various health-related fields to share their knowledge and experience in an interactive virtual setting.

Membership extends from pre-medical collegiate students to medical students to practicing physicians encompassing every healthcare field.

The platform includes opportunities for members to download and share files (such as study tools, presentations etc), forums for healthcare-related discussion, and a health wiki. More importantly, one component is a service that will keep eHyppo members updated via e-mails regarding events/lectures that are taking place in their communities by various industry companies and non-profit organizations.Click Here for Additional Resources
